Restoring Rarity

I went to a thrift store today and found several ponies. Two were in decent shape even though someone had put glue in their hair to try and make them keep their hairstyles...more on them in a different post! I also found a big light up Rarity with some rather fancy braids. After having a discussion with her, she decided that she would like to have her hair down now, thanks. So I started work. The photos below show how she started out. I unbraided her tail before we started taking photos. She had a major case of frizz-mane, dirt on her face and a price written on her shoulder. (THE HORROR.)

I appreciate all the work that went into these braids. But Rarity thought she'd had them long enough and wanted to let her hair down.

So I got to work with a comb and finally got her mane and tail all brushed out. She was starting to feel better but I knew she could use a trip to the spa to get all cleaned up and condition her hair to make it nice and soft. (And lovely smelling. I used a rose scented conditioner!)

Rarity graciously allowed me to snap these candid pictures at the spa to show how things are going. She's going to have a nice rest and get her hair worked on again in the morning. But she did get all cleaned up and had the terrible horrifying price tag cleaned off.

I will post an update when she's had her rest and styling session.
