As you may have guessed, there really is no rhyme or reason to anything posted here. There's no schedule or anything. Just whenever something happens that feels 'important' enough to share with the internet at large (and the few friends who know about this place in particular.)
-On the camping trip there were bug bites. And two in particular look like a Victorian era vampire saw us, got excited when he saw ankles and lost all control. >_<
The good news is that the bites are finally starting to heal up.
Other points of interest this week:
-Relocated a young lady raccoon who Honee called "Miss Mask" and gave much advice to during her release. It was a very hot day so she got taken to a local rural creek area with trees and cover. She promptly realized she was released, leapt into the water and swam to the other side. Honee declared that she was a very well mannered raccoon and that she hopes she is very happy in her new home.
-Bought new bird feeders to feed the 'birbs' and entertain Honee and the kitty cats. Honee loves seeing who comes by for 'snackies'. One of the new feeders looks like a little log cabin. The other is a rather interesting upside-down suet feeder for woodpeckers. Honee particularly likes woodpeckers because they walk 'upsy-downsides' like acrobats. (Honee says "Acrobirbs, Dadda. Acrobirbs. Are not bats.")
-We're trying to capture three groundhogs and relocate them. Honee calls them 'guinea bigs' and well...she's not entirely wrong. They'd be no problem if they weren't digging holes under buildings and, last year, eating wires off of cars. (Who even knows WHY.)
-Also, Carlos was deeply disappointed by an ad on television tonight. He heard about something called a blade maid and was intensely put out that it was a goofy looking duster to clean ceiling fans and not a broadsword wielding house cleaner who would fight anyone who made messes.
Carlos: COME ON. No one would walk on her freshly washed floors. No one. Not even the ants.
Francis: ...are you planning something?
Carlos: ...like wearing a sabre while I'm vacuuming?
Francis: Please don't.
Carlos: I won't. It would be too heavy to stab dust bunnies with.
